Once again Downtown Chicago becomes a backdrop for a Major Motion Picture!
The Director Michael Baybegins filming the third installment of “Transformers” on Michigan Ave. and LaSalle Street. There are also plans to film over a variety of locations within the city such as the Aon Center, Trump Tower, and Grant Park. Filming starts July 11 and goes until August 19th. Through out production of the movie there will be some temporary street closures, so it would be a good idea to be aware of what streets will be closed and on what days. The filming is expected to bring in at least $ 20 million dollars for the city and create more than 200 jobs. So next time you are walking down the “Magnificent Mile” you just might run into stars from the movie such as Shia Labeouf, Josh Duhamel and John Malkovich.
